MEET DR. KABIR SANDHU

YOUR NEW RIVERSIDE DENTIST

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Sandhu has been interested in dentistry since he was in his teens. He was always self-conscious about his smile growing up because of severe crowding and malaligned teeth. That is, until he gained self-confidence following the completion of orthodontic treatment. No longer afraid to smile, Dr. Sandhu has been committed to reciprocating that life-changing feeling with his community ever since.

After attending dental school at Boston University, Dr. Sandhu returned home in 2012, and worked as an associate for 7 years. It was at this point that he decided that it was time to open his own practice and do dentistry differently by fostering the growth of relationships around and within his own office. He met the wonderful Dr. Zellerbach at just the right time and acquired her practice shortly thereafter. Committed to continuing her family-oriented and professional reputation, Dr. Sandhu is bringing modern comforts and treatments to the local community as Riverside Tooth Co.

As a new father, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter. He also stays active by perfecting his chip shot and three-pointer.

MEET DR. PRASHANT AMIN

DR. AMIN'S BACKGROUND

Dr. Prashant Amin was born in Chicago, raised in Dallas, and went to school at the University of Southern California, where he received a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. He has over 18 years of experience in the field of dentistry, including 4 years of practicing dental hygiene in Los Angeles. Dr. Amin moved to India for 5 years, where he earned a Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Manipal University, ranked the top dental school in India (out of over 300 institutions). He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio Dental School, graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery with high honors. To offer his patients the best treatment possible, and be able to practice in a variety of settings, Dr. Amin completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at UTHSCSA. For the last 4 years, Dr. Amin has also been a clinical professor of dentistry at The University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. He currently holds licenses to practice in California, Texas and India.

Dr. Amin’s educational experiences in different places, along with time in private practice and teaching, have given him the ability to treat people from all walks of life. His practical, conservative approach is enhanced by his gentle hands and friendly nature. Dr. Amin is skilled in general dentistry, including fillings, crowns and bridges, implant placement, bone and gum grafting, 3rd molar (wisdom teeth)/complex extractions, and root canal treatment, among other dental procedures. To make dental visits more comfortable, he also provides IV sedation for patients seeking treatment ranging from cleanings to extractions.

During his spare time, Dr. Amin enjoys traveling, sports and volunteering his time to charity dental missions in other countries. He is an avid fan of the USC Trojans, Dallas Cowboys, and Dallas Mavericks (sorry, Laker fans!). Dr. Amin looks forward to taking care of your dental needs!

MEET DR. VALAY DESAI

YOUR NEW RIVERSIDE DENTIST

Born and raised in India, Dr. Valay Desai received his bachelor's degree from Rajiv Gandhi University. Later, he moved to Texas, went to the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and received his doctorate in dental surgery in 2015. Dr. Desai has been practicing dentistry as a general and cosmetic dentist since 2008 and has sharpened his skills in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, including dental implants, endodontics, and full mouth reconstructions. He always ensures to stay current on the advancements in dentistry with the aim of providing exceptional dental care to his patients. He also worked in a community-based clinic in San Antonio before he moved to Philadelphia, where he worked in a private practice setting for many years.

When not at work, Dr. Desai loves traveling to new places with his wife, trying different cuisines, and going on hikes with their husky Blu.
